Portland Police Arrest Three Men for Murder of Southwest Portland Man

On the evening of Tuesday March 12, 2013, Portland Police Bureau Homicide detectives arrested three men in connection with the death of a Southwest Portland man on Saturday morning.
Detectives, assisted by the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force and the Portland Police Bureau Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) arrested 20-year-old Mahmoud Moustafa, 21-year-old Hussein Ali Haidar and 18-year-old Omar Ibrahim on a variety of charges.
As part of the investigation, search warrants were served at two locations on Tuesday night: 4735 Southwest Luradel Street, #20; and, 10620 Southwest 49th Avenue. Haidar and Ibrahim were arrested on Luradel while Moustafa was arrested on the Portland Community College Sylvania Campus.
This investigation started on Saturday March 9, 2013, at 1:06 a.m., when Portland Police officers assigned to Central Precinct responded to a residence in the 2200 block of Southwest Dolph Court on the report of a disturbance and assault.
Officers arrived and attempted to contact people inside the residence in question. When officers went inside, they found 25-year-old Charles Anthony Weber deceased. The Oregon State Medical Examiner determined that Weber died of head injuries.
During the investigation, detectives obtained information leading to the arrest of the three suspects on Tuesday evening.
Moustafa and Haidar were charged with Aggravated Murder, Robbery in the First Degree (2 counts), Burglary in the First Degree, and Unlawful use of a Weapon. Ibrahim was charged with Murder and Robbery in the First Degree.
All three suspects were booked into the Multnomah County Jail on Wednesday morning and will be arraigned on Thursday March 14, 2013.

I live in the same apartment complex, and Charlie was my good friend. I cannot tell you how angry I am. all I can say, is that it's too bad we don't still hang people in the streets for things like this. The worst part, is that it's gang related, these people break into cars at night which is bad enough, and then this? forget deportation, give them a rope, and a short drop with a quick stop.
