The President of the ICE Agents union is saying if Congress legalizes illegal aliens before securing the border, he can guarantee the border will never be secured. Please postpone any comprehensive immigration reform bills and pass legislation to ensure that the border is secure and that U.S. jobs can no longer be taken by illegal foreign workers.

Chris Crane, the President of the National ICE Council, said:

"Here's my promise for America, if we don't take care of the enforcement side of this first, it will never happen. The only thing that will happen will be that 11 million illegal aliens will be legalized and 10-20 years from now the nation will again be facing the influx of 10-20 million illegal aliens and all the problems and expenses that come with that."

Mr. Crane speaks for 7,600 ICE agents and knows what he's talking about. If he says that enforcement must come before legalization, I'd listen to him.

The recent poll from Rasmussen speaks volumes. Only 9% of Americans believe that it's "very likely" that the federal government would actually secure the border and prevent illegal immigration if it passed legislation to do so.

I urge you to follow Mr. Crane's advice. Please postpone comprehensive immigration reform and put enforcement first.
