Two Mexicans Meth Dealers Busted Oregon; ANTONIO PANTOJA-SANCHEZ;JORGE GARCIA-MENDOZA

An Oregon State Police (OSP) trooper's traffic stop last Wednesday along Highway 97 on the south end of Klamath Falls led the arrest of two men after more than one pound of methamphetamine was found concealed in their vehicle. A follow-up investigation by OSP Drug Enforcement Section has reached a point allowing release of this information.

On January 16, 2013 at approximately 10:57 a.m., an OSP trooper stopped a 2008 Chevrolet Impala displaying California license plates for an unspecified traffic violation northbound on Highway 97 near milepost 278. The car's two occupants were identified as driver ANTONIO PANTOJA-SANCHEZ, age 31, from Pasco, Washington, and passenger JORGE GARCIA-MENDOZA, age 26, address not provided.

Subsequent investigation during the traffic stop led to the discovery by a drug detection canine of approximately 1.25 pounds of methamphetamine concealed inside the vehicle. Estimated value of the seized methamphetamine is $18,000.

They were taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Klamath County Jail for Unlawful Possession and Delivery of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine. Both men are still in custody at the jail.
