 SALEM, Ore. (KOIN/AP) -- The Statesman Journal reports that a Salem high school teacher who was killed in a three-vehicle crash near Salem Friday morning was pregnant.

The journal reports she was expecting her first child in April.

Oregon State Police reports that the Salem high school teacher, Emily Sue Campbell of nearby Dallas west of Salem, died when a pickup crossed the center line on Highway 22. This was during the morning commute, around 7:12 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 51.

Oregon State Police reports the pickup collided with her car and a Toyota 4Runner.

The 32-year-old taught English at North Salem High School. The Salem-Keizer School District says grief counseling will be available for students and staff starting 10 a.m. Monday, even though spring break has begun.

"The North High Community is terribly saddened by the loss of English teacher Emily Campbell (formerly Iott)...," North Salem High School reports in a statement on its website. "Our heartfelt sympathies go out to her family, her colleagues, the community and especially her students."

The pickup driver, 60-year-old Agapito Escutia-Chacon, and the SUV driver, 35-year-old Mark Barnhart Jr., were taken to Salem Hospital with injuries that were serious but not life-threatening.
