Tech Traitors Lobby for Amnesty Mark Bloomberg Mark Zuckerberg, Reed Hastings Melissa Mayer: Corporate Evil DREAMer Hackathon

Tech Giants to Intensify Push for Amnesty

You read last week that Mark Bloomberg and FWD.US, a group set up by Silicon Valley titans including Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, Reed Hastings of Netflix, Andrew Mason of Groupon, and Melissa Mayer of Yahoo, are funding a conservative "fly-in" of conservatives to meet with Republican U.S. Representatives and lobby them to support amnesty. Silicon Valley's efforts to push for amnesty aren't ending there.
Next month, FWD.US will be hosting a "DREAMer Hackathon" to showcase the tech skills of illegal aliens and to put their plight back in the spotlight. At this event, Dreamers will complete digital tasks and build online tools that help pro-amnesty advocates.
FWD.US Executive Director Todd Schulte said:
We think it’s a great opportunity to highlight the potential of ‘Dreamers’ and why we need comprehensive immigration reform. By having these incredible kids coming together with other programmers, we’re not only going to highlight exactly why our nation needs to fix our broken immigration system, we’re going to help create better advocacy to make that happen.
Tech insiders see positive signs from the Republican-led House of Representatives and are hoping Republicans will use this issue to help people forget about the government shutdown:
House Republicans need a win right now. They need to have something positive to say they’re for. They’re trying to turn attention away from what’s happened, and this could be one of those things.
