Additional information is available regarding the victims of the burglary.

On 02/14/2013 around 10 PM the City of Sherwood Police Department responded to a residential burglary in the 18200 block of SW Timbrel Lane near SW Old Highway 99. The homeowner advised a window next to the front door had been smashed to gain entry into the home while they were away.
Once inside, the burglar(s) went from room to room taking various items. These items included laptops, televisions, power tools, sport equipment, and electronics. The homeowners are still going through the home and determining the total loss, however, the known loss of property at this time is above $10,000.
The Sherwood Police Department believes the burglary may be related to recent internet scam. A resident of the home had recently begun working for a company under the name of LWA Trade. Their job was to receive packages at their residence and then resend them to an address in Russia.
The City of Sherwood Police Department began an investigation in December 2012 regarding this internet scam, when the resident learned the items were being purchased from stolen credit cards and then shipped to their home for distribution. The resident discontinued any further shipping or acceptance of packages. On January 21th, 2013 a white male adult contacted a resident at the location. He inquired about products that should have been delivered to the home. When he was told they were not accepting products and the police were involved the man became upset. The man told the resident "You're going to pay" and then left. The male is described as being in his 20's, 5'8-5'11, 150-170lbs, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with a baseball cap pulled low over his eyes. There was no vehicle information associated with the subject.
After the burglary a canvass of the neighborhood revealed that a trailer with wood side panels was seen in the driveway of the residence between 4:30pm-5:30pm but nobody was seen coming or going from the residence.
This is an active investigation. The Sherwood Police Department is requesting the assistance of the public. Anyone who may have been in the area of SW Timbrel Lane and SW Old Hwy 99 between 3:00pm and 10:00pm on 02/15/13 that may have seen an individual or individuals in a vehicle, pulling a wood paneled trailer, is asked to call the City of Sherwood Police Department at 503-625-5523 with any information they might have.
