Two White Cities Make Saftest City List in Oregon; Hint No Mexicans Blacks Or Immigrants West Linn, Lake Oswego

I don't think they are all that safe, as they are surrounded by the invaders from Mexico in Tigard and  Beaverton. It's like the West Hills of Portland, 25 robberies by one black male alone.

West Linn is ranked the 36th-safest city in a new list of the top 100 issued by a real estate information service. The list, by NeighborhoodScout, lists Lake Oswego as the 84th-safest among cities with at least 25,000 residents.

NeighborhoodScout compiles information on livability factors such as traffic, public schools, appreciation rates and real estate costs for would-be buyers and sellers. For the safety rankings, NeighborhoodScout compared the total number of property and violent crimes reported to the FBI in 2011 per 1,000 residents -- the latest final figures available.
The safest city was found to be Franklin, Mass., a city of 31,635 about half-way between Boston and Providence, R.I.
The most-dangerous city is listed as East St. Louis, Ill., a city of 27,027 directly across the Mississippi River from St. Louis, Mo.
In West Linn, NeighborhoodScout noted 10 violent crimes and 268 property crimes, for a total of 278 incidents.  The safest neighborhoods were found to be Willamette Drive/Marylhurst, City Center, Robinwood, Shadowood and Willamette.
In Lake Oswego, NeighborhoodScout noted 19 violent crimes and 502 property crimes for a total of 521. The safest neighborhoods were Forsberg Road/Suncreek Drive, South Shore Boulevard, City Center and South Lake Oswego.
Violent crimes used in the tally include murder, rape, armed robbery and aggravated assault. Property crimes include burglary, larceny-theft and motor vehicle theft.
NeighborhoodScout intends to update its list when the final 2012 figures are available from the FBI.

An Oregon State Police (OSP) traffic stop Thursday morning near Ashland led to the arrest of a California man and subsequent seizure of over 12 pounds of crystal methamphetamine.

According to Lieutenant Kelly Collins, on January 17, 2013 at approximately 8:40 a.m., an OSP trooper stopped a 2006 Nissan Altima displaying California license plates northbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 11 for a speed violation. The lone occupant was identified as JESUS PAZ FLORES, age 28, from Adelanto, California.

Subsequent investigation related to the traffic stop led to the seizure approximately 12.5 pounds of crystal methamphetamine concealed in the vehicle. Estimated value of the seized methamphetamine is approximately $190,000.

FLORES was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Jackson County Jail for Unlawful Manufacture, Possession and Distribution of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine.

OSP troopers were assisted by OSP Drug Enforcement Section detectives and Rogue Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) team.
