The Clatsop County Drug Task Force, with the assistance of the Seaside Police Department and Astoria Police Department executed multiple search warrants in Astoria and Seaside Friday afternoon, resulting in the arrest of Leland James Wilson, 34, of Astoria.
Due to citizen complaints, Drug Task Force Detectives began an investigation of Wilson and confirmed Wilson to be responsible for distributing considerable quantities of Marijuana within the community. Detectives contacted and executed a search warrant on Wilson, in Seaside pursuant to a traffic stop. A 17 year old female Astoria High School student, Wilson's daughter, was also contacted in the vehicle during school hours. Marijuana packaged for sale and cash were seized. It was learned the juvenile daughter was allegedly distributing marijuana within the school under the direction of Wilson, who collected the cash in return.
During the execution of the search warrant on Wilson's person and vehicle, detectives discovered photos of Wilson holding what appeared to be pounds of Marijuana. Detectives seized close to four ounces of marijuana (1/4pound) hashish, digital scales, packaging materials, drug records and two hundred and thirty dollars in cash. Drug records seized confirmed the sale of marijuana to minors.
Detectives then served and executed a search warrant at Wilson's residence, 16 Nimitz #3 in Astoria. At the residence, detectives seized additional marijuana and packaging material.
Wilson was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, Delivery of Marijuana and Delivery of Marijuana within a thousand feet of a school. Wilson was lodged at the Clatsop County Jail.
The Juvenile associated with the case was referred to the Juvenile department on the charges of possession and delivery of a controlled substance. DHS was notified.

The Clark-Vancouver Regional Drug Task Force seized a large amount of methamphetamine and cocaine early Monday morning following a traffic stop related to an ongoing investigation into the trafficking of methamphetamine and cocaine in Clark County.
At about 12:30 Monday morning, detectives with the drug task force stopped a vehicle driven by Damian Tapia-Arellano, 49, of Vancouver, Washington. Detectives searched his car and located approximately 8 pounds of methamphetamine and a half pound of cocaine.
Following the traffic stop, detectives conducted a search at Tapia-Arellano's residence, 7421 Delaware Lane, Vancouver, where a small amount of drugs and other evidence related to drug trafficking was found.
Tapia-Arellano was booked at the Clark County Jail on charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
This arrest is the result of a months-long investigation into Tapia-Arellano who is suspected of trafficking in large amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine. It is believed that he was importing large amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine from California, with Mexico being the ultimate source of drugs
