 If Immigration laws were enforced in Arizona and Birthright Citizenship ended in the US, there wouldn't be spanish speaking hispanics in the pools of Arizona.

White teens punished for learning how to swim well, for speaking english, for being WHITE and for not learning the language of Mexico.
 I hope their discrimination lawsuit gets them into a really expensive college

Just who I want to save my butt when I'm drowning or having trouble is some kid who isn't a strong swimmer. I ALMOST hope one of their graduates fails at saving someone to show how stupid this "quota" system is. In our society, Political Correctness trumps all.
It's more important than professionalism, expertise, national security or even lives.
It's the "Hope and Change" you've all voted for.

So let me get this straight. They don't like that the kids who are qualified to do the job are white. That is straight up discrimination. They claim that it is an issue of language. . Had they considered teaching the already qualified lifeguards Spanish rather than teaching weak swimmers to be lifeguards?

 I have lifeguard training and I can tell you that a weak swimmer who is a lifeguard is a dead lifeguard.

I'm not even going to get into the issue of residents of an American city not speaking English. Why punish the white kids for knowing how to swim? I don't see all-black basketball teams out recruiting white players because the majority of basketball fans are white. Leave it to the far left to persecute whites for being white. Shame on you Phoenix.

Do the blacks speak a different language, too? Is there a "language barrier" between black swimmers and white lifeguards? This is ridiculous. How would you like it if I demanded lifeguards of my own ethnicity, race, whatever?

If your kid does not speak English your kid should not be in the pool. Your kid should be in English class.

What's REALLY bad, is they've come to believe they can DEMAND that others speak Spanish.
What should be done, is put the pools off limits to those who aren't proficient in English.But you'll never see the story on NPR or most other media.
