Mexican Maria & Maria Busted Purse Snatching from Elderly Ladie; Magos-Rosales & Diaz-Valladares

The police described them as white females. Mexicans in Oregon are never all white, but usally mestizo and or mulatto.

CORRECTION: There was an error in the first name of the woman arrested on March 28 by Woodburn police. Her name is Maria Magos-Rosales, not Rosa.

UPDATE: Woodburn police have arrested one of two suspects stemming from a March 14 purse snatch at Woodburn Mega Foods. Arrested was Maria Magos-Rosales (DOB 8-13-1960) on Theft II charges. Police have identified the second suspect, Maria Diaz-Valladares (DOB 1-12-1967), who is still at large. Anyone with information on Diaz-Valladares is asked to contact the Woodburn Police Department at 503-982-2345.

WOODBURN -- Woodburn Police is seeking help from the public in finding two females, suspected of stealing a purse at Mega Foods shortly after 10:30 a.m. on March 14. An elderly woman forgot her purse in a shopping cart at Mega Foods and left the cart, along with her purse, outside of Mega Foods, next to the cart return area. As the victim walked to her car, two female suspects were exiting a nearby vehicle. The female suspects took the cart, along with the victim's purse, and went inside Mega Foods. The suspects then concealed the victim's purse and immediately left the store.
The first suspect is a white adult female, 40-50 years old, with short wavy brown to blond hair, heavyset, wearing a red shirt and pink or purple pants and black shoes.
The second suspect is a white adult female, 18-25 years of age, thin build with long black hair, wearing a white colored-jacket and purple pants
.
The suspect's vehicle is a 1990s purple-colored minivan.
The two suspects made no effort to turn the purse in at the store or the police department.
Attached are two pictures, one of the suspects leaving Mega Foods and another of their vehicle.
