You've probably heard that the Obama Administration has shut Americans out of open-air National Parks and monuments during the government shutdown. National Park Service even barricaded the WWII monuments to keep Americans and WWII veterans from visiting their monument. But, did you also know that the Obama Administration made an exception for an illegal alien "Amnesty Protest" on the same federal grounds where everyone else is being denied access?
That's right. While millions of Americans are playing by the rules of the shutdown, illegal aliens got a waiver to use "shutdown" lands as they demanded a free pass for breaking American immigration laws.
FAIR was on the scene live "tweeting" the action for the American public and was a go to source for the press on the legal issues. With your help, FAIR is investigating why illegal aliens can claim a First Amendment privilege while combat veterans cannot visit these same monuments.
This waiver is just another example of how well the Big Amnesty Lobby is connected. They're well-funded, too. Amnesty-advocate Rep. John Yarmuth (D-KY) proclaimed, "all the money is on the side of pushing [amnesty]."
Friend, FAIR is one of the last lines of defense in protecting our immigration laws. While illegal aliens are demanding citizenship on the National Mall, FAIR is working with legislators on Capitol Hill to STOP amnesty.
We know we're being outspent by the Big Amnesty pushers. FAIR defeated them in 2006 and 2007. We're ready to do it again. But we need more resources if we're going to go up against their deep reserves. The next 60 days are critical in preventing another devastating amnesty. FAIR needs your financial support today to continue to run ads against amnesty and work with our allies in Congress. Please make your most generous, tax-deductible gift to FAIR today.
With much appreciation,
Dan Stein, President
P.S. The Obama Administration continues to cater to illegal aliens' disrespect for the rule of law by allowing them to protest on "shutdown" land while Americans must play by the rules. Help FAIR stand up for fairness in our immigration system today!
