YCINT SEIZES METH AND CASH DURING TRAFFIC STOP

On Monday, the Yamhill County Interagency Narcotics Team (YCINT) arrested two men in connection with drug sales occurring in and around Yamhill County. Jose Roberto Fierro Villagomez, 29 and Roberto Fierro Jr. 26, were lodged in the Yamhill County Jail on charges of possession and delivery of methamphetamine. Each man is being held on a $507,500 bond.

The two men were taken into custody by YCINT detectives after a traffic stop was conducted on their 1985 Chevrolet pickup near the intersection of Highway 18 near Masonville Road. The stop occurred on the west bound vehicle at about 9:45 p.m. Approximately 5 ounces of methamphetamine and over $4,000 cash was located during the traffic stop. The drug itself has a potential street value of over $15,000.

Villagomez, who provided a Camas Washington address, was the driver of the vehicle. Fierro Jr., the passenger, shows a Menlo Park, California address. The men claim to be cousins.

YCINT Chair Sheriff Jack Crabtree stated: "It appears we may have disrupted a group with connections to our northern and southern border states. Hopefully they will realize that Yamhill County is not a place they want to operate".

YCINT was assisted in the case by the Oregon State Police and the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office.
